Dr. Sophia T. Shokouh Amiri, MD

Sophia Shokouh Amiri was born in Shiraz, Iran. She and her family moved to Lake Charles, Louisiana, in the 1980s. She attended McNeese State University, the University of Louisiana at Monroe, and, later, at LSU Shreveport for her undergraduate education.. She completed medical school at LSU Health Sciences Center in Shreveport, followed by a Family Medicine residency at E.A. Conway Medical Center in Monroe, Louisiana. After completing her residence she earned board certification from the American Board of Family Medicine. 

Dr. Amiri loves taking care of her patients. When not caring for patients, she and her husband, a transplant surgeon, enjoy walking, gardening, cooking, and spending time with their family and friends.
