Tiffany George, DNP, APRN, PMHNP-BC, ANP-C, provides compassionate bedside nursing services as a family nurse for ages 13 and older and a psychiatric nurse for ages six and older at Simpkins Community Health and Education Center in Shreveport’s Allendale neighborhood. Her primary medical interests include breast cancer research among African American women and genetic risk of mental illness. Tiffany is a board-certified advanced practice psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner (American Nurses Credentialing Center) and a certified adult nurse practitioner (American Academy of Nurse Practitioners).
A native of Shreveport, Louisiana, Tiffany received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from University of Louisiana Monroe in 2005. She received her Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) as a nurse practitioner from McNeese State University in 2012. Tiffany holds Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) from Northwestern State University and a post-master's certificate as an advanced practice psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner from Southeastern Louisiana University (SELU). Tiffany works to reduce any stigma and barriers to care for people with behavioral health issues. She educates patients to live their best self as she provides the highest level of care according to her personal care philosophy.
Tiffany has served on the National Council for State Boards of Nursing, spoken at a Louisiana Association of Nurse Practitioners conference, and mentored nurse practitioner students. In her personal time, Tiffany enjoys traveling, shopping, reading and horseback riding.
